What We Believe
At Heaven Bound Church of God, our faith is rooted in the Word of God, the saving power of Jesus Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the blessed hope of His return.
Built on God’s Word
These beliefs guide our worship, teaching, ministry, and daily walk with Christ. Each statement is supported by Scripture and points back to the truth, grace, and holiness of God.

One God
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified, risen from the dead, and ascended into heaven.

Repentance
We believe all have sinned and must repent, turning to God for forgiveness, cleansing, and restoration.

Salvation and New Birth
We believe salvation and the new birth come through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, by grace and through the redeeming work of the Lord.

Sanctification
We believe sanctification follows the new birth and is worked in the believer through the Word of God and the Spirit of God.

Holiness
We believe holiness is God’s standard for His people and that believers are called to live in purity, obedience, and reverence before the Lord.

The Holy Ghost
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost after a clean heart, and that the Father gives the Spirit to those who ask Him.

Speaking in Tongues
We believe speaking in tongues is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost, as shown in the New Testament church.

Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost as an outward testimony of faith.

Divine Healing
We believe in divine healing through the Atonement and in the power of prayer for the sick.

Communion and Feet Washing
We believe in the Lord’s Supper and in the washing of the saints’ feet as acts of remembrance, humility, and service.

The Second Coming
We believe in the premillennial second coming of Jesus Christ and look forward to His return with hope and expectation.

Eternity
We believe in eternal life for the righteous and eternal punishment for the wicked, according to the teaching of Scripture.
